Doesn't look bad from this angle.
When this cap got torn off, the fiberglass cracked pretty badly.
This corner came unattached completely.
The cap molding is hanging, and if you look more closely, you can see that the whole cap is hanging a bit.
The lower edge is damaged as well.
We tried to keep it from cracking worse while we removed the cap.
After the cap was removed, we got rid of the wet insulation and cleaned everything up. We also applied a mold killer.
Insalled new insulation.
The rear cap then was repaired front and back, primed, and block sanded.
We applied fiberglass to the backside to make sure our repairs wouldn't fail.
Then it was time to reinstall the rear cap.
Getting ready for paint.
All painted, reassembled, and new decals installed.
